Mystery as woman, 29, vanishes before her car is found abandoned in a gorge

The car of a woman who disappeared ten days ago has been found abandoned in a gorge.

Rebekah Storey, 29, was reported missing from Tauranga, in the Bay of Plenty, on New Zealand‘s North Island, on September 9.

Her car was found abandoned in Waioeka gorge, between Opotiki and Gisborne, on Wednesday.

The Suzuki Swift has a licence plate of CWD620.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen Ms Storey or her vehicle to come forward. 

Her family are seriously worried about Ms Storey’s wellbeing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact New Zealand Police on 105 with the number 200909/2598.
